Department of Co-operation
The Department of Co-operation is headed by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies who looks after the administrative matters relating to 11690 Co-operative Societies.
Responsibility to conduct the audit of all Co-operatives is vested with the Registrar of Co-operative Societies as per Government Order No.413/C3/69/AD dated 8.12.1969.
At the Head Quarters, Registrar of Co-operative Societies is assisted by five Additional Registrar 3 Joint Registrars, Finance Officer and Law Officer.
The Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies (General) is the District level officer supervising and controlling the affairs of Co-operative Societies functioning under Co-operative Department.
