Dental College, Medical College Campus,Kozhikode

Dental College,Kozhikode is the second Dental College under government sector in the state of Kerala. The University of Calicut granted affiliation for the college.

It was started as a small department of Dentistry at Calicut Medical College in the year 1969. The B.D.S.Course was started with thirty students in the year 1982. In the year 1992, postgraduate course in the specialty of oral & maxillofacial surgery was started with an annual intake of two students. Postgraduate courses in the specialties of orthodontics & prosthodontics were started in 1994. In 1999, postgraduate courses were also started in oral pathology, conservative dentistry & periodontics.

Classes for basic medical subjects are being conducted in the respective departments of the medical college, Calicut. Eight Dental specialties are functioning in the Dental College, giving competent services to the public at large.
