Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vatakara (CITV), is the first College established by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), Thiruvananthapuram, an undertaking of the Government of Kerala, started functioning in June 1999.
The institution is under the category of self-financing college, where admission to Free and Payment seats are fully from the rank list of candidates in the common entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala. Allotment to NRI seats are also done by the Commissioner.
