Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram



Carmel Girls High School, Thiruvananthapuram was founded by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa in the year 1963 as a Lower Primary School.

The school was elevated as an upper primary school in 1967 and as a high school in 1979. Today, the school has a strength of 2475 students and 72 staff members.

Carmel Girls High School aims at integral formation and liberation of each student through a preferential love for the poor and less privileged, believing in, and respecting the dignity of the poorest, and working to promote freedom from all types of oppression, the conviction that God loves all without distinction of caste, creed, religion or social status and motivation to build a better world where freedom, fellowship and justice prevails.
