Assumption College, Changanacherry
Assumption College, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, is one of the biggest and the most reputed NAAC accredited women’s colleges in the state. Assumption College is best known for its highest standards of spontaneous discipline, admirable academic brilliance and outstanding physical culture.
The Archbishop of Changanaserry is the Patron of the college. The management of the college is vested in a governing body consisting of the Vicar-General of the Archdiocese (Ex-officio President), Principal (Ex-officio Secretary), Procurator, Vice-Principal and Bursar. The other members are appointed in accordance with the rules of the administration of the college approved by the University.
The College is located at Changanacherry, Kottayam District in Kerala State, India. It is situated away from the din and bustle of the city yet it is easily accessible to the high ranges, the coastal towns along the National Highway, and the interior rural areas of Kuttanad. The Six College Hostels, which offer its inmates a safe and secure atmosphere congenial to academic advancement.
