All Saints College, Chackai, Thiruvananthapuram

The All Saints' College, run by the Congregation of the Carmelite Religious. In 1964 the College was situated in the Holy Angels' Convent premises in the heart of the city. It was shifted in 1967 to its present location at Chackai, a poor fishing village off the Arabian Sea coast.

The College was quick to realise its responsibilities to the uneducated women of the locality.

To empower these women, to translate their educational dreams in to reality, was an urgent need and the College decided to extend all support to the first generation learners of the local fishing community. Extension activities were also initiated to better standards of living in the area. Today the college can be proud of the fact that it has made a qualitative change in the lives of many families in the neighbourhood.
